Job Title: Associate, Procurement (Remote) Job Code: 39227 Job Location: Remote Opportunity Job Schedule: 4/10: Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week Job Description: L3Harris is currently seeking a Associate, Procurement (Buyer). The Associate, Procurement (Buyer) plans and implements activities related to the procurement of raw materials, goods and services. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Approves and qualifies vendors, obtains quotes, examines bids and makes awards. Follows up on all awards through completion of order. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Follows applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations. Essential Functions: Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge. Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related procurment experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related procurment experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or (DFAR), codes and procedures pertaining to procurement and contractual agreements, as well as principles and practices of purchasing. Knowledge of procurement documentation, methods and techniques utilized in determining and analyzing the quality of equipment, materials, services and supplies. Knowledge of methods of invoicing, including shipping and handling charges, discounts and taxes. Ability to interpret, apply and explain applicable purchasing policies and procedures. Ability to conduct price analysis and simple proposal evaluations. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $56,000.00 MIN - $104,000.00 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $44,000.00 MIN - $81,500.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
