Building Code Consultant – Plan Review | $80/hr | Remote
Position: Building Code Compliance Expert Type: Contractor Compensation: $50 - $80/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of architectural and engineering plans to verify building code compliance.
- Interpret, analyze, and comment on blueprints and project documentation for regulatory adherence.
- Advise project teams on code-related challenges and provide actionable recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal building codes, and communicate regulatory changes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve compliance issues.
- Deliver clear, concise written and verbal reports on compliance status and recommendations for corrective actions.
Requirements
- Have demonstrated expertise in building codes and related regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Be proficient in detailed plan review and blueprint reading.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Have extensive experience working with construction documents and compliance reports.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work independently and remotely while managing multiple assignments.
