Grant funding at CKFS is treated as strategic capital, not transactional revenue. This is a remote, part-time, project-based contract role with opportunity for ongoing engagement based on performance. Key Responsibilities

Grant Development & Writing Write clear, structured, and compelling grant narratives grounded in data and measurable outcomes Translate complex service models (child welfare, behavioral health, foster care) into funder-ready proposals Develop letters of intent, full proposals, and narrative sections with close attention to requirements and scoring criteria Accuracy, Compliance & Alignment Ensure submissions fully comply with funder instructions, formatting, and documentation requirements Align proposals tightly with CKFS strategy, outcomes, and budgets Maintain internal consistency across narratives, logic models, and attachments Research & Preparation Review funder guidelines, RFPs, and scoring rubrics thoroughly before drafting Integrate impact data, historical performance, and predictive indicators into proposals Coordinate required inputs (budgets, outcomes, attachments) with internal stakeholders as needed Post-Submission Support Maintain organized records of submissions and funder requirements Support reporting or follow-up narratives when requested QualificationsIdeal Candidate Profile This role is a strong fit if you: Have a proven track record of successful grant writing for nonprofits or public agencies Are comfortable working independently for extended periods Prefer clear expectations and defined requirements Take pride in accuracy, completeness, and structure Are methodical, organized, and detail-oriented Work best when allowed to focus deeply with minimal interruption Are comfortable with faith-informed organizations that operate in a non-discriminatory manner Experience in child welfare, behavioral health, foster care, or human services is strongly preferred but not required if comparable outcomes can be demonstrated.
