Corporate Counsel, Innovation – AI
Job Description:
- Work closely with our Innovation Solutions, AI Governance Committee, Product Lines and other engineering and product-related departments during concept, development and execution of new products and processes.
- Determine best practices for the company’s usage of AI technologies.
- Counsel on compliance with intellectual property rights of third parties, AI laws, privacy and security laws and provide internal training and oversight in partnership with other departments.
- Research and draft internal processes and policies relating to intellectual property, AI laws, and privacy and security in partnership with other departments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including license agreements, strategic partnerships, data protection agreements, and counsel on customer agreements and licensing in collaboration with Regional Legal department teams.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and current licensure to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Technological/engineering/computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Transactional or litigation legal practice experience, preferably in intellectual property – patent/copyright/software licensing, AI or privacy and security.
