Course Description: Strategic Leadership & Ethics in Engineering (Engineering Management Program) Wake Forest University School of Professional Studies is seeking highly qualified candidates to develop and teach the Strategic Leadership & Ethics in Engineering course in the online Master of Engineering Management program. The ideal candidate is a professional who understands the theory and practice of Engineering Mangement, along with recent trends and innovations in the industry. This course prepares engineering managers to lead high-performing technical teams while upholding the public trust. Students examine contemporary leadership models alongside frameworks for ethical decision-making, stakeholder analysis, and professional codes of conduct. Through real-world cases, ranging from autonomous-vehicle safety to cybersecurity breaches, students practice resolving “grey-zone” dilemmas, designing governance policies, and communicating values-based decisions that align technical operations with organizational strategy. Emphasis is placed on cultivating an inclusive, innovation-oriented culture that balances performance, accountability, and societal impact. Students meet face-to-face in a virtual classroom environment weekly over an academic term, providing them the opportunity to reinforce coursework materials, apply academic concepts, and participate in focused discussions with faculty and colleagues. Faculty Qualifications:

  • Master's

degree in program field or related degree. Terminal degree preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in university-level teaching.

Preferred applicants also will have a demonstrated ability to deliver graduate-level, online course experiences that are valued by industry. With the targeted audience for this program being adult students pursuing career growth, the University seeks to hire colleagues who are highly skilled in and/or highly attuned to adult learning best practices.

  • 5+ years industry experience. Preference

will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and an ability to integrate ethical concepts and broad understandings of diversity. Application packet must include:
