The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems design and implementation, with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems for various project types.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and layouts using CAD software.
- Perform electrical load calculations and system analysis to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing electrical systems and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and project proposals.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure designs are innovative and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
