Job Summary

As a Principal Engineer - Data Analytics & Data Science, you'll be responsible for leading a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, and driving the development of modern data analysis and reporting solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain large-scale data systems, ensuring data quality, security, and performance. Your expertise in cloud technologies, data engineering, and machine learning will be instrumental in driving business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and coach a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship to ensure the success of the team.

• Drive the adoption of modern software development practices through code reviews and design audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement large-scale data systems, ensuring data quality, security, and performance.
• Develop and maintain complex data models and reporting frameworks, leveraging cloud-based technologies such as ADLS, Databricks, and Delta-Lake.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data products and reporting solutions, working closely with data engineers, data scientists, and IT teams.
• Develop and implement data quality guidelines and best practices, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions to address those needs.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their relevance and potential impact on careerzynith's data analytics and science efforts.

Essential Qualifications

* 15+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, with a strong background in data engineering and machine learning.

• 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, with a proven track record of successfully guiding and leading teams.
• 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, including ADLS, Databricks, Flash, and other large data innovations.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, languages, and systems, including Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, and R.
• Strong understanding of data perception tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools, to effectively communicate insights.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to design and implement scalable and efficient data analysis solutions.
• In-depth understanding of Lakehouse engineering principles, combining the best of data lakes and data warehouses for efficient and adaptable data management.
• High-level SQL skills, with a strong understanding of social data sets and business data capacity to write complex SQL queries against various data sources.
• Experience managing high-volume and high-speed data streams, and designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time analysis.
• Proven ability to drive innovation, adapt to emerging technologies, and implement industry best practices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Science, or related technical discipline.

• Significant industry certifications are a plus.
• Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain management.
