Job Summary

careerzynith is seeking an experienced Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our digital database from paper documents. If you possess excellent typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of data confidentiality principles, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Type in data provided directly from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, utilizing your knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our digital database.
  • Update existing data, retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, and perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong understanding of data confidentiality principles.
  • Fast typing skills, with knowledge of the touch typing system strongly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • BASIC understanding of databases and data management principles.
  • Great attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • High school degree or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on education and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong understanding of remote work tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to create and interpret data visualizations.
  • Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software, with a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
