Linguists - Translators & Reviewers (Remote)
Scope of work Multilingual Technologies (MLT) is actively seeking experienced Translators and Reviewers for upcoming projects. The focus is on the medical, health , and government policy sectors . These are fully remote freelance positions, where you will translate and review English content into the target language(s), ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy.
Requirements
Certification: Translation certification is a plus but not required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of translation or localization experience in the medical, health , or government policy fields. Language: Exceptional language proficiency in English and Native fluency in the target language. Skills: Strong understanding of Plain Language standards and the ability to simplify complex content for public audiences. Technology: Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., Phrase TMS, MemoQ, or Trados). Location: Fully remote position, requiring a stable internet connection and the ability to meet deadlines independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Important: A test and training are required prior to starting work on this project. Additionally, background and vulnerability checks are mandatory for this role. Responsibilities
Translate English website content into the target language, following project guidelines and maintaining Plain Language standards for public audiences. (10th-grade reading level). Review and proofread translations in the target language to ensure consistency, clarity, and cultural accuracy. Collaborate with other linguists and project managers to ensure consistent quality across all localized content. Utilize CAT tools to manage translation memory and adhere to specific terminology guidelines (TBs).
