[Remote] Accounting Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Buyers Edge Platform is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their Accounting team. The role involves overseeing junior accounting professionals, managing general accounting tasks, supporting financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with, oversee and help develop junior accounting professionals within the Fresh team
• Review team member work product
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Maintain and improve processes to support monthly close activities and internal controls
• Support the Controller in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Perform financial statement fluctuation/variance analyses
• Support the consolidated audit, through the preparation/review and compilation/submission of auditor requests
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and internal controls
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations
• Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to improve financial processes and systems

Skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisor experience
• Experience in public accounting or a similar industry is a plus
