[Remote] Founding Legal Engineer

As a Founding Legal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between legal practices and innovative AI solutions, ensuring that clients trust the technology while enhancing efficiency in legal workflows.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to close deals
- Establish credibility with Managing Partners and General Counsels
- Translate legal complexity into logical product flows
- Define the step-by-step reasoning logic our AI must follow
- Validate our AI's output, ensuring our quality standards never slip
Skills
- You have a J.D. and Practice Experience: You have billed hours. You know what the day-to-day is like and why missing a citation matters
- Deep experience in complex litigation, civil procedure, and the mechanics of complex law workflows
- You are highly tech-savvy and organized. You can map out a complex legal decision tree on a whiteboard better than most Product Managers
- Experience managing or directing the work of paralegals, nurse consultants, or junior associates
- Ability to navigate high-stakes meetings with Managing Partners and explain technology without jargon
- You are the 'power user' who always found a faster way to get the work done
- You are a Credibility Builder: When you speak, lawyers listen because you speak their language, not marketing fluff
- You are an Owner: You do not wait for a meeting to be set up; you drive the relationship and the strategy
- You have experience managing document review teams or nurse consultants
- You are curious about AI and excited to learn how to leverage it in your workflow to move faster and smarter
