About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled JavaScript Developer with five years of experience to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient, scalable code using JavaScript and TypeScript. You will collaborate closely with a team of developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our users. Additionally, you will manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable deployment processes. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in JavaScript development, with a solid understanding of TypeScript. Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications is essential. Familiarity with modern development frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is preferred. Candidates should have experience working with RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team are required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically expected.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient JavaScript and TypeScript code for various applications supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security protocols. Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless deployment processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, bugs, and security vulnerabilities. Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and outcomes.
