Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to enhance legal workflows and enterprise environments for evaluating advanced language models. The role involves building digital workspaces, designing tasks for various legal functions, and collaborating with experts to refine workflows and improve task quality.
Responsibilities
- Build realistic digital workspaces reflecting day-to-day legal operations workflows and documentation
- Design multi-step tasks involving legal intake, contract lifecycle management, e-discovery, matter management, and spend operations
- Create structured scenarios requiring navigation across multiple platforms, files, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with legal operations and technology experts to refine workflow realism, task scope, and evaluation rigor
- Work asynchronously with research teams to improve benchmark design and legal-tech task quality
- Translate complex legal operations processes into structured evaluation specifications
Skills
- Strong experience in legal operations, legal technology, e-discovery, contract lifecycle management, or matter management
- Background in legal-spend management, legal intake, knowledge management, or enterprise legal program design
- Familiarity with platforms such as Relativity, Icertis, HotDocs, Contract Express, Clio, or MyCase
- Strong analytical writing and ability to structure legal workflows into detailed task specifications
- CLOC or ACC Legal Ops involvement is a plus
