[Remote] Principal AI Solutions Architect - Healthcare & Life Sciences
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EMBS Technology is transforming Healthcare and Life Sciences through Artificial Intelligence. They are seeking a Principal AI Solutions Architect to lead AI strategy, identify opportunities, and deliver innovative AI solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing AI programs from discovery to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Leading discovery workshops to identify high-value AI and Machine Learning opportunities
- Defining, shaping and delivering AI Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
- Designing and developing Generative AI solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI and hybrid architectures
- Building scalable AI applications using Azure, AWS or Google Cloud AI services, Large Language Models, vector databases and modern AI frameworks
- Developing AI solutions integrated with cloud data platforms including Snowflake and Databricks
- Working closely with engineering teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions
- Presenting demonstrations and solution roadmaps to both technical and executive stakeholders
- Running AI strategy workshops with business leaders and client teams
- Translating complex technical concepts into clear commercial outcomes and measurable ROI
- Developing reusable AI accelerators, frameworks and reference architectures
- Promoting responsible AI adoption, governance and best practice across client engagements
- Contributing to technical thought leadership through demonstrations, workshops and enablement content
Skills
- Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise AI solutions
- Experience operating at Director, Principal or equivalent level within client-facing environments
- A background in consulting, professional services or technology advisory
- Strong experience with at least one hyperscale cloud platform - Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
- Proven expertise designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
- Experience developing Agentic AI applications and modern AI workflows
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Experience delivering client-facing AI PoCs and taking solutions into production
- Previous experience in Healthcare or Life Sciences
- A strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance frameworks including HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 13485 and ISO 42001
- The ability to translate complex business challenges into practical AI solutions
- A solid understanding of the strengths and trade-offs between open-source and commercial Large Language Models
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the US, with occasional international travel
- Healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR and HL7
- Healthcare integrations such as TEFCA, eRx or Clearinghouses
- Vector databases and LLM fine-tuning
- AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel
- Responsible AI, model governance and explainability
- Creating technical enablement content, demonstrations or thought leadership
