They are seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, develop high-performance APIs, and collaborate with various teams to improve application performance and establish engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Develop high-performance APIs that power core product functionality
- Build integrations with third-party platforms and external services
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Help establish engineering best practices as the platform continues to grow
Skills
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience building applications with Node.js
- Deep understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
- Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern backend development practices
- Strong database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external platforms
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong communication skills and a product-focused mindset
- Experience building SaaS products
- AWS, Azure, or GCP experience
- Docker and Kubernetes experience
- CI/CD and DevOps exposure
- Experience working in legal technology, fintech, or other regulated industries
- Startup experience where you've helped scale products and teams
