Our client, a leader in pharmaceutical innovation, is seeking a highly qualified Remote Senior Pharmaceutical Research Scientist to contribute to groundbreaking drug discovery and development efforts. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to conduct vital research from your home laboratory or designated workspace. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex research experiments, analyzing experimental data, and contributing to the development of novel therapeutic agents. Your expertise will be crucial in areas such as drug target identification, assay development, compound screening, and preclinical studies. The Senior Pharmaceutical Research Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists, to advance drug candidates through the pipeline. Key responsibilities include interpreting scientific literature, formulating research hypotheses, and documenting experimental procedures and results in detailed reports. You will also play a role in manuscript preparation, patent applications, and scientific presentations. The ideal candidate possesses a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with a strong publication record and extensive experience in pharmaceutical research. Exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of drug discovery processes, and proficiency in relevant laboratory techniques are essential. Contribute to the identification and validation of novel drug targets. Prepare detailed research reports, presentations, and scientific publications. Collaborate with internal and external research partners. Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and literature in relevant therapeutic areas. Contribute to the development of intellectual property through patent filings. Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline. Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in pharmaceutical R&D. Proven track record of successful research outcomes and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Extensive experience in relevant laboratory techniques (e.g., cell culture, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, assay development). Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Experience with biologics or small molecule drug discovery is a plus. Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA) is advantageous.
