[Remote] Workday Principal Consultant - Payroll

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Avaap is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Lead / Principal Consultant to join our growing team. The Principal Consultant will be responsible for assessing issues in the customer's production tenant and providing solutions that meet business needs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess issues in the respective area(s) of the customer's production tenant and initiate the iterative process of testing to provide an ultimate solution that meets the customer's business needs
• Build relationships with customer subject matter experts while partnering with colleagues if necessary
• Confirm that solution design presented to the client meets the requirements of the project across multiple functional areas
• Document delivered solutions and provide knowledge transfer to customers on acceptable solutions
• Convey complex solutions of varying degrees to non-technical users
• Build long term, productive customer relationships

Skills

• Possess a strong understanding of US Payroll, including settlement, taxes, and all regulations applicable regulations at the federal, state and local level(s) in which the customer conducts business
• Workday US Payroll certification REQUIRED, including additional certification(s) in either Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking
• Confirm that solution design presented to the client meets the requirements of the project across multiple functional areas
• Demonstrated ability to document delivered solutions, and provide knowledge transfer to customers on acceptable solutions
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex solutions of varying degrees to non-technical users
• Demonstrated ability to build long term, productive customer relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
• Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
• Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
• Preference for Workday HCM consulting, and/or industry experience
• Previous consulting experience with SaaS systems is highly preferred
