Shopify Developer Needed: Theme 2.0 Updates, Custom Liquid Sections, and Speed Optimization

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to handle targeted updates, feature additions, and performance optimizations for our existing Shopify 2.0 store. The ideal freelancer can jump into our existing codebase, write clean, native Liquid, and build reusable components without relying on heavy third-party apps that slow down site speed. Scope of Work Includes: Theme Customization: Updating existing templates (Homepage, Product Pages, Cart UI) to match new design/functional requirements. Custom Section Development: Building custom, reusable sections and blocks that plug directly into our native Shopify Theme Customizer (so we can edit text/images ourselves later). Performance Optimization: Tuning Core Web Vitals, minifying assets, and cleaning up legacy app code to maximize mobile loading speeds. Safe Deployment: Setting up duplicate/staging themes to build and test updates thoroughly before pushing them live to production. Technical Requirements: Deep expertise in Shopify Liquid, JSON templates, and Theme 2.0 architecture. Strong front-end skills (JavaScript/ES6+, CSS/SCSS, HTML5) with a strict focus on mobile-first responsiveness. Experience using Git/GitHub for Shopify version control is highly preferred. Project Structure & Budget: We want to manage this via fixed-price milestones for specific batches of updates.
