Position: Social Media & Web Marketing instructor Job Type: Part-time, Remote Location: CDI College, Scarborough Campus Expected Start Date: Immediately Hourly Wage: $25-$30/hr Your Day to Day: Specifically, the Instructor will be responsible for: Teaching and Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in the Social Media and Web Marketing program curriculum. Use diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities. Student Support and Development: Provide academic support to students, including tutoring, mentoring, and guidance. Monitor and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and participation. Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills. Administration and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to institutional goals. Industry Engagement and Professional Development: Establish and maintain connections with social service agencies to facilitate student placements or program improvement. Stay updated on developments in the field of social services to bring current knowledge into the classroom. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness. Assist in student recruitment and retention efforts as needed. Support the coordination of field practicums or internships for students. Address student concerns and mediate conflicts when necessary. What You Bring to the Table: Degree, diploma or certification from a recognized university Three or more years’ experience in a related field A minimum of 1-year instructional experience or hold a certificate in adult learning Nice To Have: Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation Ability to motivate and inspire students High standards of behavior, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably Learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience.
