Technical Writer for User Manuals
Technical Writer - experienced in writing and formatting user manuals and quick setup guides. We are a 20-plus year importer of consumer electronics from China. The instruction manuals that the factories provide for the products we purchase require editing. More specifically, there are a lot of grammatical mistakes, formatting errors, and other issues, such as improper English. We are looking for a technical writer with experience writing and formatting instruction manuals and set-up guides for the United States and who knows the laws of what needs to be included for safety (e.g., FCC, UL & ETL standards) and anything else that should be included. It's beneficial for the technical writer to also have graphic design experience, including knowing how to make or format diagrams for the instruction manual via appropriate software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. We will provide a format guide we have standardized for our brands for reference. Occasionally, further research may be required.
