Underwriter-Senior Living Seren Specialty Insurance (SEREN) is a boutique program management and insurtech company providing insurance solutions to the specialty liability insurance market. SEREN offers beginning to end policyholder, underwriting, claims management, risk management and distribution services. By providing a platform with a full suite of services we can maximize the use of capital within the insurance industry to our owned and contracted companies. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Living Underwriter. The ideal candidate will have a background in underwriting, with specific expertise in Senior Living and previous experience with a carrier, MGA or Wholesale broker. Chicago, IL or 100% Remote, Job Responsibilities: Engage in the end-to-end underwriting process, including processing submissions, account underwriting, quote issuance, policy binding, endorsement management, and state/federal filing. Foster effective communication with agency partners to drive profitable growth. Execute daily tasks related to underwriting with precision and attention to detail. You will play a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction by: Proactively interacting with all agency partners and management on a daily basis, ensuring exceptional client support. Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on Senior Living underwriting experience. Proven track record of successful underwriting in the Senior Living industry. In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing senior living insurance. Exceptional communication and people skills, essential for effective collaboration. Ability to thrive independently in a remote work environment. Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events, showcasing commitment to professional development. #Remote
