Voice Test and Automation Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Automation Voice Test Engineer to lead and execute manual and automated testing of voice and data protocols. This role involves validating telecom features, writing test plans, and ensuring high-quality releases. Key Responsibilities: Perform manual and/or automated testing of voice protocols on ONTs, OLTs, and modems. Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, Robot Framework, or Abacus. Write test cases, prepare test plans, and execute regression and release testing. Debug and validate issues in collaboration with development teams. Contributes to continuous improvement of test processes and tools. Voice-Specific Technologies & Responsibilities: Manual & Automated Testing of SIP, MGCP, H.248: Validate voice protocol implementations on ONTs, OLTs, and modems. IPTV (IGMP), SS7, DOCSIS: Testing legacy telephony, and cable modem technologies. Test Automation Frameworks: Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, Robot Framework, and Abacus scripting. Test Equipment: Use tools like Ameritec Fortissimo, Abacus, Spirent Test Center, and Wireshark. Release Planning & Test Documentation: Write test plans and execute test cases. Field Simulation & Debugging: Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments. Required Skills: Experience in voice protocol testing: SIP, MGCP, H.248. Familiarity with IPTV (IGMP), SS7, DOCSIS, and network protocols. Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Jira, Bamboo, Abacus, Ameritec, Spirent. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments. Minimum 10 years of experience in Networking and Voice technology Preferred Qualifications: ISTQB or equivalent testing certification. Leadership experience or interest in mentoring junior testers. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
