The role involves analyzing insurance coverage, preparing coverage opinions, and representing insurers in complex coverage claims, requiring strong research and litigation skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first party property and general liability matters
- Having litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions
- Interpreting contracts of all kinds and representing insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States
Skills
- At least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first party property and general liability matters
- Litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions
- Strong research and writing skills
- Admission to the California Bar
- Some experience in insurance law
- Substantive litigation experience
- Demonstrated interest in insurance law
